Inspiration:

In this project I tried to think about the next step of the jeans. As I looked at the social and political climate in the world, I realized that we were in a very global period on the one hand but very conservative on the other. This distinction made me look at the leaders who lead the world today. One of my inspirations was the work of  the artist Shephard Fairy that makes prints inspired by Renaissance prints. The Renaissance is a very monarchical and politically conservative period,  And therefore in the project I created  a link between the Renaissance and the present.

בפרויקט זה ניסיתי לחשוב מהו הצעד הבא של הג'ינס. מבחינה פוליטית וחברתית העולם נמצא בעיני במקום מאוד גלובלי מצד אחד ומצד שני העולם הופך להיות הרבה יותר שמרני. ההבחנה הזאת גרמה לי להביט אל המנהיגי העולם היום. 

אחת מההשראות המרכזיות בפרויקט הייתה עבודתו של האמת והמעצב הגרפי שפרד פיירי. בעבודותיו מייצר פיירי הדפסים בהשראת הדפסים מתקופת הרנסאנס. 

הרנסאנס, הייתה תקופה מאוד מלוכנית ושמרנית ולכן בפרויקט זה יצרתי את הקישור בין הרנסאנס להיום.
