השראה לפרויקט היא צלמת פסי גירש, שהיא חברה קרובה של המשפחה שלי. אחד הדברים שעניינו אותי היה לעשות פרויקט בהשראת אמן שיש לי אפשרות לקשר ישיר ודיאלוג מתמיד איתו, כי אני חושבת שזה נותן נופך נוסף לפרויקט.

פסי היא צלמת עכשווית אשר בצילומים שלה יוצרת דימויים מתוך העולם האישי והיחודי שלה. פעמים רבות בעבודותיה מהדהדים דימויים מימי הביניים, הרנסאנס והנצרות. עבודותיה מוקפדות ושמות דגש על אסתטיקה קומפוזיציה סימטרית ונקיה. פעמים רבות בעבודותיה נוצר פער בית האסתטיקה לאובייקטים המצולמים, כאשר בסדרות רבות בוחרת פסי לצלם חיות מתות אותם היא מציבה בצורה אנושית ולכן כאשר מביטים בצילומיה נוצר ניגוד בין הניקיון והסדר לאובייקט המצולם.

כאשר ניסיתי לקשר בין עבודותיה של פסי לבגדים מחויטים. אחד הדברים שבלטו לי הוא הפער בין הניקיון ואסתטיקה בחיצוניות של הג'קט אל מול העמלנות, והבלגן שנמצאים בתוכו. בשיחה עם פסי אחד הדברים שריגשו אותה הייתה שמשתמשים בשיער סוס על מנת לתת לג'קט את התחושה שהוא עומד בפני עצמו.

ולכן החלטתי בפרויקט אני אוציא את פנים הג'קט החוצה ואנסה ליצור דימויים בעזרת החומרים בהם משתמשים במחוייטים על מנת לתת  לבגד נפח וצורה. ובכך, כמו בעבודותיה של פסי להוציא את הסמוי והשולי החוצה ולתת לו במה.

שני הדימויים המרכזיים אליהם החלטתי להתייחס מהעולם שלי הם- ונוס מווילנדורף, צלמית פוריות מהתקופה הפליאוליתית אל מול התמונה של קים קרדשיאן למגזין paper. בעיני שניהם מייצגים תפיסה של גוף נשי אבל משני קצוות של ציר הזמן האנושי, כאשר בסופו של דבר שניהם מדגישים אלמנטים של פוריות (חזה וישבן גדול). אני חושבת שבהקשר של מחויטים תפיסת הגוף הנשי היא מעניינת, במחוייטים אנחנו משתמשים באלמנטים מסורתיים על מנת ליצור את הצללים הרצויה, ואפילו יכולים "לתקן את הגוף". במערכת הלבוש שלי אני רוצה

The inspiration for the project is photographer Gessi Gersh, who is a close friend of my family. One of the things that interested me was to do a project inspired by an artist that I have the opportunity to communicate with because I think it gives an extra touch to the project.

Pessi is a contemporary photographer who in her photographs creates images from her personal and unique world. Many times in her works echo images from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Christianity. Her works are meticulous and emphasize aesthetics, composition, and clean symmetry. Many times in her works there is a gap between the aesthetics of the image and the photographed objects, when in many series she chooses to photograph dead animals that she poses in a human way and therefore when looking at her photographs there is a contrast between the aesthetics and the photographed object.

When I tried to link Pessi's work to tailored clothes. One of the things that stood out to me was the gap between the cleanliness and aesthetics of the exterior of the jacket versus the hard work, and the mess that is inside. In a conversation with Pessi one of the things that moved her was that horse hair is used to give the jacket the feeling that it stands on its own.

Therefore, I decided in this project that I would take the inside of the jacket out and try to create images with the help of the materials used for custom-made clothes in order to give the garment volume and shape. And thus, as in Pessi's works to bring out the hidden and the marginal and give him a stage.

The two main images I decided to refer to from my world are - Venus from Willendorf, a fertility figurine from the Paleolithic period compared to a picture of Kim Kardashian for a paper magazine. To me both represent a conception of a female body but from both ends of the human timeline, with both ultimately emphasizing elements of fertility (chest and big buttocks). I think in the context of tailored clothing the perception of the female body is interesting, in tailored clothing we use traditional elements to create the desired silhouette, and can even "fix the body".
